Visual Appearance of Alarm
When the alarm rings, there is a more ways of how it can be displayed on screen. Following types of appearance can be configured in Add Alarm window:
-
Text rotating around clock
-
Bubble info dialog
-
Text rotating around clock with bubble info dialog
-
No visual appearance
The settings to influence this behaviour is located (after enabling the Advanced Options [1]) in top right part of the Add Alarm window on the Alarm Tab. (Look for On Alarm button).
Text rotating around clock
This visual appearance is the default one. Alarm text runs around the clock and a little animation plays over the clock.
Disadvantage of this mode is - if consequent alarm comes while older one rings, the original alarm text is replaced with the new one thus possibly losing the message.
For this behaviour, Show Text on Clock [3] option must be checked on and Show Text in Window [4] option must be unchecked.
Bubble info dialog
This appearance shows alarm text in own bubble window and does nothing on the clock.
If consequent alarms would come up, each new alarm shows alarm message in a new bubble window, so there's no loose of alarm messages.
For this behaviour, Show Text on Clock [3] option must be unchecked and Show Text in Window [4] option must be checked on.
Text rotating around clock with bubble info dialog
This is the combination of previous two and this is also the default appearance when Advanced Options [1] is enabled.
For this behaviour, Show Text on Clock [3] option must be checked on and Show Text in Window [4] option must be checked on.
Note: When Show Text in Window [4] option is enabled, the associated actions can be just shown as a row of icons instead or runing them. Then user can click on appropriate action icon to run the action manually. To enable this behaviour, switch the Show Action(s) [6] option to be the active one.
No visual appearance
You can also let the clock to do NO visual appearance when the alarm rings. So the alarm can just play the sound or run associated actions.
For this behaviour, Show Text on Clock [3] option must be unchecked and Show Text in Window [4] option must be unchecked.
